Charles Yurick has directed and edited films and videos for major brands, designed projections for recording artists, symphonies, dance, immersive events, business conferences, and trade shows in arenas, regional theaters, and event venues across North America. As an editor, he received recognition for First Run Features’ award-winning theatrical release Never Stand Still – Dancing at Jacob’s Pillow, which also appeared on the PBS series Great Performances.
Selected projection design credits include Revolution – The Beatles Symphonic Experience; Still On The Line: Jimmy Webb – The Glen Campbell Years; Touring dance shows They Called It Rock and Ballroom Rocks. As creative director, Charles’ credits include industrials for iconic brands Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Subaru, Unilever, Deloitte, Steelcase, Pfizer Consumer Health, Novartis, GSK, Coca Cola, AT&T, JP Morgan Chase, and IBM. Charles was also the recipient of two CINE Golden Eagle Awards for his work as director/editor on the short films; It’s How You Know and Where You Work for AT&T and The Knowledge Workers for Steelcase.
Additional broadcast projects include editorial for commercial TV spots featuring John McEnroe, on-air promos for CBS, and ESPN’s US Tennis Association’s It Must Be Love campaign for the US Open.
Charles is also the host of the podcast series Life In The Grooves. An up-close and personal look inside the lives of emerging recording artists, as well as established veterans who continue to create new music. Each episode features a selection of carefully curated original songs from the artist’s repertoire.
Charles resides in Windsor Connecticut with his wife Nancy Paris. The couple is currently developing a new musical Radio 930, a story about how rock & roll and radio were able to breach the Berlin Wall and change history.
